Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Houxay - Pakbeng
Arrive at Houixay border Thai – Lao border No. 4. The Mekong Smile Cruise boat leaves at the slow boat pier for a cruise down the Mekong River. The first stop is Paktha this is check point. At the second stop, we will visit the hill tribal villages to learn their culture and relax, then come back to the cruise a buffet lunch will be served onboard. After lunch is your free time to relax and enjoy the Mekong River.

Day 2: Pakbeng - Luang Prabang
Early in the morning you can visit the Pakbeng market. After breakfast, we depart at 8am to journey down the Mekong River. The first stop is at Ban Baw where you will observe the traditional whisky village, weaving village, handicrafts and textiles. A buffet lunch is served onboard. The boat stops again to visit Pak Ou caves. There are two caves, ‘Tham Ting’ and ‘Tham Phoum.’ The caves contain thousands of Buddha images. The Mekong cruise arrives at Luang Prabang, a UNESCO world heritage city, before sunset and we have the van to pick you up at the main pier to Luang Prabang.

Day 3: Luang Prabang - City Tour - Kuang Si Waterfall

Your visit of the Royal Palace Museum than we will visit Wat Sene and Wat Xieng Thong.
Lunch at a local restaurant
After lunch, we will visit the Khuang Si Waterfall. The last visit will be the Phousi Hill where you will enjoy a panorama view. Stop at the Night market to buy local product in Luang Prabang.

Day 4: Luang Prabang - Half Day Elephant Experience
Breakfast at your hotel
Together with your local guide you will proceed to drive out of Luang Prabang to the Elephant Park Project area and the “Elephant Village” about 15 km out of town and in the middle of a green, natural surrounding just on the banks of the Nam Khan river. Here you will be introduced to our protected Asian Elephants and go out for scenic ride in the natural setting along the river and hills. Enjoy the new perspective and the wonderful nature as well as the tranquility on this 1 hour ride through which you support the rescue of our former logging Elephants. A stunning landscape, tranquility and lush nature gives you a relaxed stay on the back of the Elephant. Lean back in your seat and enjoy the fact that you have just been helping those endangered creatures. On the ride you make your way through forests and along the Nam Khan River.
A short boat ride will bring you to the amazing Tad Sae Waterfalls (not in dry season). Here you can hang out and relax for a while in the refreshing cascades.
Back to the Elephant Village you will enjoy a buffet lunch.
After lunch transfer back into Luang Prabang. Arrival time in Luang Prabang at about 14:00 depending on free time spent at waterfall or camp.

Day 5: Luang Prabang - Departure

Transfer to the airport and check in to your flight to your next destination

· 25% discount with extra bed and breakfast
· 50% discount without extra bed and without breakfast
